The JEF is a military focused framework with governance structures extending from ‘Leaders’ and Defence Ministers through the Chiefs of Defence and Defence Policy Directors, who meet periodically, down to the military operational level.
The Standing Joint Force Headquarters (SJFHQ) is the UK nominated permanent JEF Operational HQ. The SJFHQ is joint and international by design. It provides operational liaison and reconnaissance teams, a dedicated HQ and a joint logistics HQ, all at very high readiness to deploy across the globe.
UK Ministry of Defence
As the Framework Nation, the UK Ministry of Defence is responsible for the routine management and administration of the JEF, and for cohering activity and information across all JEF Participant Nations.
